We are facing an epidemic of pornography online of which the repercussions remain not fully understood. And it is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, at any time can view porn online.
Governments are still tied up by the “it’s a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has managed to hold onto the idea that porn is victimless entertainment which involves only the user and the consenting adults who participate. The law has yet to catch up with reality and with technology. In a world where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the internet is becoming filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that no one should be exposed to, aside from our children!
